In March 2013, I began contributing to Quartz, the online business-news outlet from the publishers of
The Atlantic magazine. I've been a fan of Quartz since it launched. For years, every publication I've worked at has talked about being more global in its outlook, less provincially American, with varying degrees of success. I think Quartz comes closest to the kind of international world-view that corporate executives are taking (and have to take, given the globalization of markets).
For me, it's a great opportunity to write about some of the topics that fascinate me, for an influential audience, while simultaneously pushing into areas I know less about — and in particular, disclosure and governance issues outside the U.S.
