The class is formally called News Writing & Reporting I, and it's the first introduction to basic journalism schools at the college: obituaries, speeches, cops reporting — a great way to learn basic skills, and still the meat and potatoes of much of the news business.

There probably won't be a lot to post here, but if I think of anything, I'll add it.
